My mom and I co-designed this earring together and named her Susan after Susan B Anthony. My parents raised me and my siblings to stand up for our values and to fight for equality on all fronts. Both my sister and I attended women's colleges, and we both strive to live up to the examples set by the strong, supportive women who came before us; women who fought for equal rights throughout history. Susan B Anthony, whose work helped pave the way for the 19th Amendment to the Constitution and women's right to vote, is emblematic of these strong female role models, and a perfect inspiration for our new piece.
