You don’t need to be an expert to know the diamond industry isn't eco-friendly. It's the exact opposite, actually. It's pretty harmful in a variety of ways. Downsides to diamond mining include erosion, deforestation, and ecosystem destruction. They have to dig giant pits, build roads, run heavy machinery, and set off explosions in order to mine the coveted stone. This ruins ecosystems, as previously stated, and can even kill animals. Now I’m not much of a diamond girl to begin with, but knowing what the process is actually like just turns me off even more. In a world where diamonds reign, where diamonds are considered king, we need a sustainable alternative.

Because they're made in a laboratory, they don't bring the environmental impact that diamond mining does. That makes them wholly sustainable. For this reason alone, CZ stones are the better choice.

They're also just as beautiful, shimmering in the light. Like I said, the average person can't tell the difference between the two. That means you get the benefit of the look without the environmental harm or high prices. They're super affordable. On top of this, they're just as versatile.
